How we compile the listings

This page explains where the listings on Pink Locksmiths Directory come from, how they are sorted, what we check and what we do not. Read it before you rely on any listing.

Source of the listings

Business details were collected on 21 October 2026 from public Google Maps results, through a commercial data provider. The search covered 60 large US metropolitan areas and the towns around them. For each business we keep the name, street address, phone number, website, opening hours and the service categories it shows on Google Maps. Coordinates are used to place the business in a state and a city.

What was filtered

  • Businesses with no link to locksmith, key or safe work were removed in a first pass.
  • Listings with neither a phone number nor a website are kept out of search results and out of the sitemap, because a visitor cannot act on them.
  • The filter relies on categories, so it lets through some entries that are not locksmiths in the usual sense: key-cutting kiosks, hardware store key counters, lockers and general repair shops can appear. Read the business name and website before you call.

What we do not verify

  • Licenses, insurance, bonding and background checks. Where a state requires a license, ask the business for the number and confirm it with the state authority. The guide lists the states concerned and its source.
  • Whether a business is still open or answers its phone. We have not called the numbers.
  • Prices. Many locksmiths quote by phone, and the final bill can differ from the quote.

We do not publish star ratings or review counts. Those belong to Google and to each business’s customers, and a number copied here would be out of date within days.

How listings are ordered

On state, city and search pages, listings appear in alphabetical order by business name. Nobody has paid for a better position. The software behind the directory supports paid levels, but at the time of writing every listing on this site is on the free level. If that changes, this page and the listing page will say so before any listing is promoted, and promoted entries will be labelled.

Freshness

The data is a snapshot, not a live feed. The collection date is 21 October 2026 and it has not been refreshed since. Businesses close, move and change numbers, so expect some entries to be wrong.

Corrections and removals

Owners can add, claim, correct or remove a listing through the listing form or by writing to info@omnilearn.org. A person reads each request and compares it with public sources, such as the business website or its Google Maps profile, before changing anything. There is no charge.
