Editorial policy

Pink Locksmiths Directory publishes two kinds of content: listings of businesses, and written guides and articles. These rules apply to both.

Authorship

Articles and guides are published under the name of the site and its publisher, OmniLearnConsultingCommerce LLC. We attach no invented bylines and we do not present anyone as a locksmith, a former locksmith or a security expert. The texts help you decide; they are not professional advice and do not replace a licensed locksmith’s look at your own door.

Sources

  • A factual claim that comes from outside the site names its source and date in the text. If a source cannot be opened and checked again, we do not repeat the claim.
  • Licensing rules change. Anything about licensing is dated, and you are told to confirm with the state licensing authority.
  • Advice that is ours, such as what to ask on the phone, is written as advice, not as a rule or a statistic.
  • We quote no prices, response times or success rates for locksmiths unless we can name where the figure comes from.

Product articles

Some blog articles discuss locks and accessories sold on Amazon. Topics come from questions homeowners and renters ask, not from commission rates. Amazon links on those pages are affiliate links and are marked; the details are on the disclosure page. We have received no free products from manufacturers, and a manufacturer cannot pay to be included.

Listings

Listings are not reviews and not recommendations. How they are compiled, and what is and is not checked, is set out in how we compile the listings.

Pictures

Photographs are free-licence images from Wikimedia Commons, each credited with author, licence and source on the photo credits page. They illustrate a topic. None shows a business listed here, a vehicle or storefront belonging to one, or a member of our team.

Corrections

If something is wrong, write through the contact page or to info@omnilearn.org. We fix factual errors in the text and change the “reviewed” or “updated” date on the page when we do.
